Hi Tadei! I'm pretty sure there is an active polish community. You will more people here from your country to play DM with. If you like too, i can invite you to our DMR WhatsApp Group if you like to. Btw, i think Kubu or Promised are from poland (not both i think)... Enjoy your time here =)

Re: Welcoming Thread - Introduce Yourself
Hello duelists i’m neXtchamp.
I didn’t play DM when it was alive because I was too young to understand the rules but i still collected the cards back then. After the game got discountinued me and a friend of mine started to learn how to play and since then I have gotten many good times playing this amazing game.
I’m from Sweden and would like to find other Swedish players to duel with, if there are any.

Re: Welcoming Thread - Introduce Yourself
Hi, peeps!
I played DM back when I was a toddler and for the past 2 years have been trying, sporadically, getting back into the game, though I kind of lack the most basic resource, cards, lol!
I don't have that big of a budget, but I did find a good opportunity a year ago for a couple of booster boxes but lo and behold... they were fake; thankfully, I got my money back, but ever since, I've been a bit paranoid about buying cards or boxes.
If anyone can help me out in that regard, that'd be awesome!
Also, I think I made a couple of playmats for the game, just the graphic templates, of course, but if anyone's interested, I could post 'em in a thread.

Name's Mike. I used to play DM when I was younger until Yu-Gi-Oh became more popular in my area. I'm here to most likely ascertain a few more additions to my now growing collection. I'm a DM01-DM06 kinda guy, pure nostalgia. I am not interested that much in the later additions. I'm not at all familiar with the current state of the game. There's that. Hi everyone.

Re: Welcoming Thread - Introduce Yourself
Hi everyone, i'm new here and i'm from Italy. I played DM since i was a kid (in real and with the gba games wich i preserve carefully) and since i was trying to buy a lot of card to complete my collection, i found this forum. Even if this game is not so popular, i hope that maybe in the future we will have the chances to play again one of the best TCG game i ever played.
Of course nowaday in Italy nobody plays this game anymore(or some fanatic like me do it sometimes) but everyone in the early 2000's used to play it. So as you can expected i find myself confident with the cards of DM-01 until DM-05 . Hope to go along well with everyone.
See ya

Hi all! I'm Raz, short for Razvan! From Romania. People who I've dueled with know me as Slagz! I've been around from some time since I discovered ways to play Duel Masters online, which was ,like, more that a year ago! My passion for this game hasn't worn out... it's simply my childhood on a cardboard! I'm very interested in making high quality cards in Photoshop and I've seen some pretty awesome templates here, which is nice! I'm currently playing DM on OCTGN and I edited some cards for the plug-in 'til now! You can find me on the OCTGN Duel masters server on discord if you want to duel (I play the first 35 sets) Cheers!

Hello I'm ahmad from pakistan. I was introduced to DM in 2007 when the anime started airing on Cartoon netwrok toonami.
It soon became one of my favourite shows and I started collecting the decks. I kept playing the card game even after the show went off air. I joined tradecardsonline and remained an active member until 2014. Afterwards I didnt get enough time to manage my passion for DM so I got disconnected from it. I even lost all the cards that I had collected over the span of 9 years.
Now the nostalgia has brought me back over here, and I hope to make DM my passion once again.

Hey-ya again. This is "sirgreyfox21". I'm gonna be using this account from now on. I won't ask for my positive feedback to be transfered to here, but it would be great if you could make that happen so I don't start from scratch. Why am I using a new account? I'm a bit ocd so when I transition to a new username I do that on almost all sites I use. But it won't happen again during my stay here. I'm sort of preparing to start selling some of the extra cards I've gotten over the last few months, so be on the lookout for an extra topic in the Trading section sometime soon. Thank you for the understanding!

Hey guys
Welcome...back. I think.
I used to play a lot of DM back in the "Golden Days of Hanover DM". That must be 9 or almost 10 years ago now, how time flies, and was of course to duelmasterglobal.forumprofi times, so I didn't have an account here (also ofc was under another username, tbh I don't even remember it anymore...). I always wanted to get back in any TCG, but whatever I tried I always thought: "But DM plays so much better than this, this is so disappointing".
As I currently am in Japan and see Duel Masters everywhere, I actually thought about it again and jumped in a little with 2 small starter decks (I also have a lot of ruling questions about certain things, but I'll be asking these in the respective places). As you can imagine, I have a few questions about the current state in Europe and in general.
As I don't have Facebook anymore and I really don't want to get it again I have troubles assessing the current state of the scene. This forum seems to have died down a lot compared to 10 years ago, but are there still active scenes with regular Meetups in Germany/Europe and most of the communication is just through Facebook or other means? Or has the scene really died down and is mostly limited to collectors that meet up very rarely to actually play?
And what is the current state of Duel Masters? As far as I can tell, the power creep seems to have accelerated significantly. Is that true, or just my unqualified judgement? I feel like there is almost no discussion about new releases anymore, except for maybe reddit, so I can't really tell the general opinion on this. I also feel like it has gotten really hard to find ruling details on newer mechanics in english sometimes, more about that in the ruling section.
In the end, I'm glad that a forum like this still exists and I still see mostly the same "faces" around here. Hope you are all doing well!

Re: Welcoming Thread - Introduce Yourself
Welcome everyone,
In Japan, the game is as big as ever and they are helding tournaments all the time. Outside Japan, the game is still played and tournaments organized but they are mostly TCG-centric. OCG is still wildly played but most of the discussion has transfered to DM Wiki's discord for some reason, maybe because the most enthusiastic DM folk is keen on keeping the Wiki page up to date and thus are highly in the current state of the game. I am playing OCG a lot but am not that up to date with the game anymore. TCG has been easier to follow since it's not getting any new card additions so my focus is more on it nowadays with my limited time.
Duel Masters Finland is organizing an international DM Mega Meet in Finland in collaboration with Duel Masters Reborn. If you are interested, feel free to check this thread and the event-specific Discord server: https://discordapp.com/invite/pTNAAj6

Re: Welcoming Thread - Introduce Yourself
Quite a lot happens on facebook. The Duel Masters Unplugged group is there which is a group for all real-life dueling and trading related, basically a more compact and active (also global) version of this forum. Then we also have the general facebook group for anything online regarding DM especially news.
The game has just finished its current Gacharange (or in short GR) block, which introduced a new zone called Super Gacharange and new Gacharange creatures. The zone always required to play 12 of these and it was restricted to two copies per card. It is similar to the Hyperspatial zone overall, but the creatures are weaker and easier to pull. The second card types are Orega Auras which are attachment cards similar to Cross Gears but restricted to GR creatures.
The meta for this block has been very unhealthy for the card market, since the GRs are restricted to two per deck it means double the price for 1 card, 50€ per decent card is rather common and the values aren't dying down yet as very little related to GRs has been hit by the banlist which also caused their related support cards to skyrocket in value. A lot of people have ditched the game as deck building prices have become nuts for a lot of popular decktypes and due to the GRs faster nature budget decks have become a rarity plus the pack retail price for the cards has gone up as well (which we outside of Japan don't really feel but affects them quite a bit).
By the looks of it the new block, Ten Kings, won't feature any GR creatures at least not for now and instead focuses on more traditional multicolor creatures. If you're interested in deck building I would skip out on GRs and wait for what Ten Kings has to offer which is unclear as of yet, apart from a few mechanics which generally build on other mechanics introduced a couple blocks earlier.
