We have been contacting the duelists entering our tournament. We are still missing some deck lists and TCO usernames. If you know that you haven't submitted either of those, please contact us immediately. We are starting the tournament April 7th at 1 PM (UTC+0) via Discord and TCO and everyone and everything should be ready by then. We will post more information soon.

May I ask how may (edit:)many decks have been submitted, until now? This always used to be a problem in the OCTGN tournaments where I had to disqualify people who wanted participate but didn't submit any decks before the starting date. Never heard back from some until it was too late.

Mainly via e-mail in text format but also via WhatsApp and Facebook. I anticipated it would take a while to get all the deck lists. Next time the decks list will most likely be collected via the registration form itself so that we can focus on just checking them. The full name has easen up the process a little.

We are starting the event on our Discord server's tournament channel 1 PM (UTC+0). It's not obligatory but highly recommended. We will publish the brackets at the latest at that time.

We are happy to have you on board and wish you luck on your games. Remember that everyone is ultimately responsible for their decks legality and should use the same deck all the time. Please let is know if you face suspicious activity.

The duels are starting today Saturday April 7th 1 PM (UTC+0), and you should start preferably starting immediately and at least scheduling your first game.

We are using Challonge for determining the brackets for our tournament and you can find them using the following links:

Use those links to see who you are dueling and when and don’t’ forget to report the results and the links for your games! The general structure for both formats is stated below.

I) The Swiss rounds (April 7th onwards)
- In TCG, for 24 players, there will be 6 Swiss rounds for everyone.
- In OCG, for 13 players, there will be 5 Swiss rounds for everyone.

II) The Semifinals
- 1st versus 3rd & 2nd versus 4th

III) The Bronze Game
- The two losing players duel.

IV) The Grand Final
- The two winning players duel.

Who goes first
For the first game of a match, the winner of a random method (such as a die roll or coin toss) chooses either to play first or to play second. The winner must state this choice before looking at his or her hand. If the winner states no choice, it is assumed that he or she is playing first.

After each game in a match, the loser of that game decides whether to play first in the next game. If the game was a draw, the player who decided to play or draw at the beginning of that game chooses.

Scoring per game in a match
a win - 3 points
a tie - 1 point
a loss - 0 points
a bye - 3 points

Reporting results
If a player wins most of the games of a match in a consecutive manner, it’s assumed that he wins the remaining games of that match as well. Meaning, if a player wins 2 consecutive games in a best of 3 match, he is considered to be winning the last match as well: He wins 3 games and gets 9 points. You can report the score using #results channel, directly via Challonge’s system or by messaging me.

Is there any static collection of the decklists that we can refer to, in case someone claims a deck has been changed?

Maybe we should publish the decklists in some way so that it can be ensured. In a way it would be better to keep the decks "private" until end of the tournament.

In any case, the TCO games can always be checked afterwards and see if there's something weird on used cards (you can't directly go through deck lists there, at least I am not aware of that).

The decks in TCO are dynamic, they can be changed. So having only the TCO link as the deck submission wouldn't be safe. Are all the original decks stored in text format too? If you already have all the lists in a static format, then it's fine! If not, I can make a reference list from the ones currently on TCO.

That list needs to be public, otherwise you can't know if a deck has been changed in the first place, if you only check the TCO version later!

Great points. If this was a physical tournament I would be all for "private" decks. I agree, we better make the deck lists public so that people can refer to them when in doubt.

I will do that as soon as possible, probably on Monday or Tuesday. I have every deck list in a static form already but have to make some modifications.

We have extended the deadline for the tournament! You have until this Sunday 1 PM (UTC+0) to complete your duels. From now on, you have up to one week to complete each round, meaning the next deadline is on the following Sunday 1 PM (UTC+0).

Use the time well.

The 2nd round for the OCG Tournament has started and the brackets are updated. You have up to one week to play your match and 5 days to establish a contact with your opponent.

From now on, it's going to be given that everyone has 5 days to contact their opponent and up to 7 days to duel. Meaning that if you contact your opponent the 5th day in, you have only the 6th and 7th days left for your duels.
