Selling old collection Empty Selling old collection

    Post by otrosb 19.08.21 15:04

    Hello all

New to this forum, but seemed like a good place to get advice and connect with potential buyers.
I played Duel Masters for a brief period in the early 2000s, and have a pile of cards from back then
that I'm looking to part with. I think a few of the cards might be worth a fair bit, but any advice
regarding valuation would be appreciated. Pictures of rares+ attached underneath:

Currently unsure if I want to sell cards as singles, or the whole thing as a lot, but all offers are welcome for now.

Miraculous Meltdown is worth a lot, it also looks to be in great condition which is even better. Sadly it's the only really 'good' holo card you have, so I highly advise you to sell this as a bundle as you say, as without the Meltdown you may have trouble selling it for all too much.
Headlong Giant and Chaos Fish may be something that collectors are interested in as well as a few of the Rares and Commons even as they're from later sets, and are harder to find in Europe as those sets were mostly released in America. Overall I would say this stack is more appealing to collectors rather than competitive players.

Do not get lowballed. Inform yourself well what the market is. We got TCG experts here and over in our facebook group that can help you price it properly. Feel free to PM them and ask for help if you do not want to discuss this in public.
I'm not the one you should ask though because I only trade Japanese so my knowledge of the TCG market is rather limited so I can't give you more advice than what I said up above.

Thank you for the great advice! Someone pointed my attention towards a excel sheet with suggested valuations. According to it, Meltdown should go for 50-60€, is that accurate? Or could you point me in the direction of someone who can help value it? Card is NM/M condition.

The sheet used to be very accurate, but the pandemic strongly affected card prices and I'm not sure if the sheet was fully updated to reflect those changes so I would definitely get other opinions on it but use the sheet as a general reference.

You can always ask our Admin ELTP or other Moderators (especially Haiken) to help you. They probably also know better contacts in order to gather some professional opinions. Me as a pure OCG expert should be the last person to guide you when it comes to TCG.

Since you have Commons from later sets as well I highly recommend you add more pictures showing those in detail. Smile

Kaze is right. the value list is outdated but still gives a first impression of card prices. and yeah if u have commons from later sets, post them!
they are more people interested in dm-10 to dm-12 commons than in dm01 - dm04 holos

Hi, I only know the cards from the first 6 sets. From what I could recognize from these 6 expansions I haven't seen a card of significant value if that's what you want to know.
I leave it to others to check if there are cards of editions higher than dm06 which have an interesting value.
