My friend and i have been working on an adaptation of commander for DM just for fun. We actually finished ot tonight, but have yet to play it out. I hear this is a thing in japan, has anyone tried it? Or are we first?

I played a game of it using my Izzet (Fire/Water) using Crossfire the Second, Billionaire as my commander.
It was really fun, and definitely a very different experience as compared to standard DM.

I'm also interested how do you play commander in DM. Especially TCG is a much more enjoyable with all the different formats usually also present in MtG.
