Good day all.  I wanted to find out if anyone on here has ever come across one of these before?  While opening a Duel Master 20 card resale pack, in the spot of the rare I discovered a duel master card with a blank front with the black border and the duel master normal back.  To this day after opening many duel master products I have never seen another or even online for that matter.  I spoke with a person who played MTG and I was told it is called a filler card.  Has anyone on here ever seen/heard of this?  Thanks!

Which boosters have 20 cards?

So there is a company that does second hand market packs.  I couldn't find a picture of one for DM, but here is a Yugioh one for example. The Duel Master ones are 2 booster packs back to back versus random cards.  But in the second pack, which was a DM05 pack, this filler card was my rare.

It is indeed a filler card. I've seen a few copies of it, but they are very rare. Apart from the one on Carousell, someone found the below Youtube video where they mention it. It seems to belong to Team Peach.

As you can see, they completely defiled it. But there was mention of another one in the video.

Filler cards, I can imagine how valuable that would get if you were able to get a known DM artist to draw something on it. It is valuable nevertheless! I'm also interested in it, but don't mind if Haiken gets it. After all, he is the greatest DM collector out there. I also wouldn't mind if you just kept it yourself.

Thank you Haiken for all the additional information regarding seen filler cards in DM. I can't believe they all signed it!!! I couldn't imagine doing that for a card so rare. How did you end up getting your version of it Haiken? Was it the rare in a pack like mine was? Also to both of you, what would you put behind the value of this kind of card? Tough to say because I have never seen one actually sell ever in all my ebaying time (since 2012). I do not think I would want to part with mine at this point.

Yeah, it is a real shame that they ruined it so. Buy hey, at least your own copy becomes more valuable, right? ^^

My own filler card I got in a more boring way. I found it on eBay as a listing that was completed, but not sold. Contacted the seller and bought it from him.

As for its value, you are correct; it is tough to say. In any case, to me it would be very valuable because I collect such cards, don't have it, and want it. ^^

I opened one of those in a DM 02 pack a while ago, apparently they are extremely rare.

I was sure DM had these since it has a lot of parallels with MTG, but actually never saw those in rotation. These are incredibly rare indeed but since you can get them repackaged like you said or even from packs they won't exceed the value of artist proofs or heavy misprints (e.g. albinos, wrong art or window cuts) not even if the blank was signed or given art.

There isn't many these so it is rather hard to determine the exact value. Also for these types of cards, card condition is upmost important.

I am personally not very interested in fillers as it is impossible to tell which card they were based on if any directly, so go ahead and sell it to one of the guys who already pointed their interest.
