Cheers everyone!
Having a lot of time during the last Corona-months, our german community had some small meetings and many online games and tournaments including the last two IDCs we organized (thanks to @Halfar for taking the lead in the organization!). During this time I rebuilt nearly all my decks and brought them (back) into shape.
I guess pretty much all cards and their functions used in those decks are well known, so I think it’s only necessary to mention those cards or techs which I think aren’t played that often (especially in our german meta) or aren’t seen in other decks.
Check them out and let me know what you think of them!
Please note:
All those decks are constructed on the basis of our german meta (hardcore discard and draw based, Bombazar (un-)officially banned, no maximum card limit and no further restrictions), so cards like Corile, Mist Rias, Swap, Slash Charger and Bolly are cards that can be played four times.
LWD Marino-Control (45)
Light (16)
4x Sarius
4x Magris
2x Kolon
4x Craze
2x Holy Awe
Water (5)
4x Marino
1x Thrash Crawler
Darkness (16)
2x Slash Charger
1x Corpse Charger
1x Morbid
4x Loco
2x Clamp
4x Pit
2x Lost Soul
Multi (8 )
3x Tajimal
3x Miraculous Snare
2x Bluum
Description
Definitely one of my strongest and most consistent decks. I really like the balance between Light and Darkness (both 16 cards… the OCD is way too high) and the small amount of Water. Only those four Marinos and one Thrash Crawler as a mana recycle option to get back Craze or Bluum or the reuse the Chargers.
As in my GRUB I always play a split between Corpse Charger and Morbid (unless Carnival is more useful in race based decks). I like both advantages to gain mana with Corpse or get back two creatures with Morbid.
Slash Charger to get rid of important enemy cards, e.g. in mana burn or combo deck types and to get faster to the lost soul in mirror matches than my opp. Miraculous Snare for an early removal (especially against mana burn cards like Grash) and ofc Marino to get a draw three in almost 90 % of all cases. I played three of Loco and Clamp a long time, but due to our meta changing to more handguard cards, I decided to max out Loco and cut Clamp down to two. Four Craze to have high chance to play her and Bluum ofc, because it is Bluum.
Thoughts
A playset of Craze is the most important core in this deck – two or three are definitely too little. It’s your key card to gain field control and swing for game. Although, the amount of mono blue cards is as small as possible to get a maximum draw with Marino (and in 90 % of all cases I get a draw three). Balanced, strong and consistent deck with a lot of draw and discard and six big finishers.
