    As is already told you in private... Emeral would be crazy because of your 10000x Shield triggers.

    BTW: Why did their not nerfed Astral Reef before their released this extremely strong cards? This effect is op for sure lol!

    I will eventually exchange the Locomotiver with Emerals.
    I'm also thinking about exchanging the Terror Pits with Natural Snares.

    I now added 3 Barkwhips and removed 2 FDFs. I also exchanged a Terror Pit for a Natural Snare. I will exchange the remaining Pits with Snares, as soon as I can get some.

    @AleksVin Astral Reef was an ocg exclusive card despite being from set 4 right? I only ever remember Astral Warper from tcg, and looking at those two, Reef is better in every way, shape and form. 3 mana cheaper, only 1000 less power, and same race and civ etc. I suppose it was kinda the same case as Cursed Totem vs Cryptic Totem (both same civ, race, mana, power and effect, but Cursed Totem just didnt have the "when tapped" restriction on its effect that Cryptic had". So in both cases, ocg got the more powerful version, while tcg got the nerfed one.

    @Halfar do you think Astral Reef would be OP in tcg? If you think about it, its just a Gonta with a massive draw effect. You have to draw both Reef and a Marine Flower if you want to summon it on turn 2 tho, and Reef is not a finisher in itself. So im thinking it would act more as a support/aggro card, kind of like Hulcus just better when you get it out ofc. But you would still need another bossmonster as you finisher in my opinion. Reef would be good, but not op in my opinion.

    @LordSommerhill
    Astral Reef is extremely strong. The card advantage it gives you is amazing.The deck I built almost always has a full hand and a lot of mana. That way you can summon up to 3-4 creatures a turn.

    @AleksVin well yes sure its great, and gives you great hand advantage etc. But what is the decks main gameplan to actually beat the opponent? Is 3 Fighter Dual Fang enough to consistently win? Im not saying its not good, i just want to hear how it works Razz

    That would be a good way for rushing an opponent but in that case would you take out one fighter dual fang for another natural snare? Also terror pit wouldn't make sense since you don't run darkness so I'd go for something like dimension gate to search out reef into your hand faster. Aqua surfer can be replaced with spiral gates for lower cost bounce

    The Pits are only subsitutes for the other 3 Snares.

    Oh, I guess now that Astral Reef will be allowed again, I can build a modern Deck around it.

    Would it even be good nowadays?

    Nonetheless, what are some modern cards that could help me build a decent modern deck with Astral Reef?
    I don't really know that many modern cards.

    I appreciate every help.

    as i adviced you before, researc the wikia and tco for it. Wikia is probably beter in this case as the most decks on tco are still containing restricted and banned cards i guess
