I have never seen anything like it.
The condition of the card looks excellent, but a little wear on the back of the card (that might just be the sleeve or the quality of the photo.

Given what looks like an excellent condition, I would guess the card would go for over 30$.
It might go for much more, but I wouldn't sell it for less.

It's kind of hard to estimate the value of the card, as Duel Masters has been a dead card game for the last 10 years (in the west).
Keep in mind, the card you have there is unique.
The regular Melnia Promo is relatively common among collectors.

Look out for other replies as they provide more insight.

Id say that kind of misprint can be over 100$. Haiken collects this kind of stuff so you can ask about him. Im sure he can offer quite good price!

Alright thanks you guys for your comments. I've decided that this card will most probably be best in the hands of someone like Haiken. =)

That's truly bizarre, but a cool find.

Let us know how much you manage to get for it!

Well, did the card change owner?
Just wondering whether it was a real error or did you use stuff like nail polish remover to get rid of the gold parts?

Interesting, so you could remove the golden ink with nail polish remover without actually damaging the card print below?

Yes, as long as you don't hit the back of the card. Face side of holo cards is printed on plastic layer which isn't affected by such chemicals. The golden text is stamped on top of that layer separately.

That Melnia could be a real error. I haven't seen or heard about real one though (besides this case).

There is a way to detect fake.
If you use nail polish remover, the golden ink is removed but there will remain a print mark on the surface of the card. It's easy to hide in photos but can be seen clearly in real life. If that Melnia is a real error, there shouldn't be such marks.

Alright, so if Melnia is real, there shouldn't be such dents.

Never thought that the golden ink could be dissolved without harming the print under it. Meaning ballpoint markings could also be carefully removed but possible any dents would naturally stay.

It could work but I can't recommend doing that. At your own risk only.
I don't know if they used the same holo printing method through the whole TCG era. It is possible that they have made some changes at some point(s) which could lead to different reactions. Also, I don't know how nail polish removers actually work. It's possible that some are stronger or based on different things and could affect the plastic layer too.
Dents will stay and never use on cardboard. It will ruin your non-holos and back of the holos if used there.
